My visa expired during the lockdown; do I have to pay any fines?
No. If your tourist or residence visa expired during lockdown, it is automatically extended until the end of the year. You do not need to take any further action.

No, the standard visa renewal costs and procedures continue to apply.
How many days will it take to renew my Dubai visa?
Providing your application is complete and correct at the time of submission, visa renewals usually take five business days.
What documents do I need to renew my Dubai visa?
The following documentation is required when renewing a residence employment visa and a partner or investor visa:
- Dubai Department of Economic Development (DED) Visa Renewal Form
- Original Passport (six-months validity and must have at least two blank pages available)
- Eight Passport size photos
- Original Emirates ID
- Certificate of Health Insurance from a Health Insurance Agency or Health Insurance Card front and back copy
The following applies to employment visas only:
- WPS Form: Payment of Workers’ Wages (WPS) Declaration
- Attested degree certificate (if applying for skilled positions level 1-3)

If you wish to cancel your visa, you will need to submit your original passport, original Emirates ID, and a signed DED Visa Cancellation Request Form to a registered agent such as Set Hub.
